the latest...

  • last night i worked out with jessica.
  • dave grilled burgers.
  • i am contemplating going on a more strict diet.
  • we came up with an itinerary for our vacation.
  • we both got paid yesterday. we found we now have enough money to pay the upcoming bills, loan some money to dave's friend who has helped us out in the past, pay some more on our credit card debt, and pay cash for our vacation and should have some left over. it is only by God's provision that all this is possible. we didn't think that it would be possible to take this vacation, but in the past month we've both had opportunities to earn extra and God gave us the strength to do that. we praise Him today!!!!!!! this vacation will be soooo much fun!!!
  • today dave is going to gasoline alley to figure out what can be salvaged from the V8 from the green jeep.
  • i plan on going to the grocery, maybe a scrapbook store, maybe target. i also plan on working on the taxes. *groan*
  • yesterday i was thinking about moving. i went to a website with moving and packing tips. i decided if we do move away from indy, then we should have a big party with all our friends from here. it will be a good way to say goodbye. then last night i dreamt about that party. we put pictures up all over our walls, had kind of an open house type thing. i woke up today and told dave about it and we started reminiscing about how we felt when we first moved here. how we didn't know ANYONE. how his jeep broke down his first weekend here and his aunt lisa let him and his dad and pat work on it in her garage. his dad came out and rescued him from that problem. we're so thankful we don't need to be rescued now, at least as much. i remember every 2 weeks when david would visit me at purdue - he would leave sunday night and i would walk him out to the brown jeep in the parking lot by earhart hall and just bawl. i didn't want him to leave me there!! with melanie!! i remember sobbing. then we'd talk on the phone every day for 2 weeks till he came back to see me again. i remember living in westlake. being afraid to go outside. being afraid to pause in the hallway to get my mail because someone might kill me there. or so i thought. i remember how SLOWLY we got to know people. ben peshek. jared "stencil". brad. tamara. jen. karla. jimmy. erica. kim. ryan. candice. mark. karen. julia. seth. angela. mikki. jack. dodie. jamie. raney. holly. russ. chad. judy. heather. guy. amanda. jed. elizabeth (who grew up in springfield). nick. jill. the ever-growing list. now this place feels like home to us. it's so funny how it will be sooo sad to leave the place that we used to be so sad to be in. wow.
