the day of rest...

we've had a good weekend so far.

yesterday, dave went into dreyer in the morning to put the green jeep engine back together. meanwhile, i cleaned around the house. at 1:00 we went to adrian's 3rd bday party. we had good cupcakes and got to watch him open his presents. after that, we finished cleaning up the house TOGETHER :) and then i headed out to hobby lobby since they were having a 1/2 off sale. i got a vacation scrapbook and some paper. i should be all set for next saturday... then jimmy and erica came over for dinner. we had beef tenderloin, cheesy potatoes, salads, and coffee lover's only from the "warm plastic creamery". kinda like the "cold stone creamery" but in our own kitchen. :) my sister, who was going to come out today, called to see if she could go ahead and come out last night and of course we said yes. she and stinky got here sometime after 10:00. we all had a good time chatting.

today we got up and went to church. first time em had ever been to new hope, so that was cool. then we headed down to king ribs for lunch and showed emily the west side, downtown, and the iupui campus. we're back at the house now. dave went out to get some charcoal so he can light the grill for another round of tenderloin with brad, tamara, adrian and emily this evening. emily and stinky are napping. i'm "cleaning" the office. when we first got back i sat on the front porch and took pics. it's 69 out, sunny, partly cloudy. just beautiful. i took pics of the sky, our flowers that are coming up and the trees that are budding. ahhhh, it seems like overnight spring has arrived here in indiana. perhaps it was the lightning from last night. YES!
