and all through the house....there is a mess. Lots and lots of things for me to put away on my day off.
We had a wonderful weekend in Ohio with our families. We're so thankful for the wonderful relationships we have with them. Of course there were dysfunctional moments, but I think as I grow older I'm finding that is pretty normal after all. Sad, but normal. I am so thankful for the wonderful gifts we received too. We are going to order our new subwoofer with money we've been saving over the past few months (some Christmas money we received helped put us over the top...Dave is SOOOOO excited!) I hope all of you reading this had a great Christmas too!
Saturday we watched some old family videos at the Neers, went for a 2 mile run/walk (mostly run) with Dave & Pat, had Sparky's pizza (OUR FAVORITE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD) and watched RV (pretty good flick). Sunday we went to church at Oak Grove, had soup beans & cornbread for lunch with Mom, Dad & Em, opened our presents, took naps, made food, ate a lot of fudge and apple dip, and then went back to church in the evening. It was a lovely service! Emily gave me a whole tub of cool clothes she didn't want anymore. I'm so excited to wear them. Then Monday we had breakfast & lunch with my family, opened presents with the Neers, stopped by the Leichty's for a visit. Then Richard & Esther came by. After that we headed for home but Dave decided he needed more food before driving back so we stopped back at Mom & Dad's and had some leftovers for dinner. (And I had about 3 more of Mom's awesome Christmas cookies.) Mmmmmmmmmmm.........
I only gained 2 lbs over the weekend. I think that's pretty good considering....
I took Dave into work this morning and then worked out at the gym. Trying to end the weight gain...Now I feel nice & energetic and I'm off to cleaning!! Bye!
