This is going to be a quick one....we went to Ohio this weekend. We had a really full schedule celebrating Christmas and New Years' with Dave's family. We enjoyed lots of yummy food and really beautiful Christmas lights at Clifton Mill. I found a place that sells cheap cupboards that we could get for our kitchen too. That was cool! Anyways, I am beginning to feel some of the effects of all this traveling. I wasn't the nicest, most agreable person to be around this weekend and I apologize to all of our family members who had to endure my wrath..........ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Anyways, I have just a few things to mention:
The past few days, I've felt the need to pray to God with David over the coming year. Tonight on our way home from Ohio we decided to stop at our church and pray. It was wonderful. I love the deep silence of an empty church. It's pretty moving. We could not find any light switches (???? where are they, all you New Hope members????) so we knelt at the altar in darkness and prayed some in silence and some aloud. It was a wonderful way for me to start the year. I feel more at peace and relaxed, knowing that God is in control.
Also, this is totally unrelated: what is up with all the little boys who have tennis shoes that convert to roller skates???? I saw a boy "skating" thru Gander Mountain a few weeks ago and thought I must be imagining it then I saw another at Mellow Mushroom as we ate dinner tonight. I had no idea such a thing existed!!!!!!!!!! Weirdness!
