My wonderful husband...

is such a genius!!! =) I knew he could come up with an idea of how we could buy that house...and he did! He told me his plan last night and it is a good one...I think it will work out really well. We will go ahead and buy the house there but stay in Indiana in our house, working our jobs. We can make both payments but it will be tight. So, we COULD try to rent the house for some extra $$ to help make 2 house payments but we are a little unsure of doing that. If we signed a lease with a renter then we couldn't move whenever we needed to, we'd have to wait till the lease was up. And who knows if they would actually pay their rent??? So, Dave's idea: rent the house as a vacation rental - a bed and breakfast with no breakfast. Then any money we make with that would help us pay that house payment. We would have to furnish it, but that would be no problem. We can just go ahead and move any good furniture that we have now there and just live in Indiana with crummy furniture. We've done that before. We can do it again. And Mom and Dad have several extra beds, etc. that I'm sure they wouldn't mind "storing" in the vacation rental to help furnish it. So, what do you think? Good idea, huh? And then whenever we go to Ohio and the house isn't being used by visitors, then we can stay in it. If we ever take friends to Ohio with us, we can all just stay in it and not impose on our parents so much...And if we decide after our house sells here in Indiana that we're not ready to move to Ohio yet, that we want to stay at our jobs, then we can just keep using that house as a vacation rental or we can rent it out to someone for 6 mo or a year lease b/c then if someone didn't pay their rent it would be a bit less of a risk for us b/c we'd have more $$ available and things wouldn't be so tight. I think this whole idea is wonderful. What better investment than a home?? A home right next to my parents and grandparents? =)

But, anyways, we don't even know for sure if we'll get to implement this awesome plan. Perhaps the house sold this week. I don't know. We want to go see the house this weekend now though. I was thinking we would be here in Indy and I would scrapbook Sat, possibly with Erica, but now I think we will be going to Ohio, at least for part of the weekend. Maybe we'll make them an offer(?)

Another awesome thing about Dave, he fixed me breakfast this morning - fried egg, bacon, toast and OJ =) I'm sooooo in love!!

In case you're wondering what this picture is....it's construction equipment parked in the field across the road from our house. Looks like they won't be farming in that field this year...You can see Buddy's pine trees on the right side. Duke wants the road constructed 0.5 mi north of us by June....so I guess they're getting started. (Isn't it a little weird that the week we find a house in Ohio they begin construction on a road that SHOULD have been on top of ours if it wasn't for the Drakes? We COULD be out of our house by now....Oh my, I just have to stop with these feelings. I need to remember how blessed we are and have faith in God that He will work it out that a warehouse owner will want to build right on top of our house this summer...)
