i started weight watchers today. i pray that this program will help me to stay more structured with my eating habits and get back to a more reasonable weight.
yesterday (04-09-06) was the 7 year anniversary of our first date, and the 6 year anniversary of the day i was baptised. cool, huh? i told dave's dad sunday morning that it was the anniv. of our first date and he said, "did you ever think back then that it would turn into all of this?" and i said, "yes, i knew it would" i told dave last night that when we were in high school together, before we started dating i would see him around the halls and in class and i just knew that i wanted my husband to be like him (well, him, really...i had such a crush on him...) - he was good looking, intelligent, honest, hard working, brave, strong, sweet, a Christian, and he still is...i could see our life together: having children, being in the country, sitting on a porch swing together....some of those dreams have morphed into the life that we have and it's not always what i thought it would be, but then again some of those dreams have been fulfilled and we're only 23 & 24.... i'm so happy to be married to him =)
yesterday dave's aunt and uncle, grace & jake, stopped by on their way to see his parents. she said in sunday school class they're talking about people in the bible living in the past, knowing all the scripture and stories from the past and how today people live more in the future, planning our lives out as if we're guaranteed to live until we're 80 or something. i think we're often guilty of that... tonight i said that God could take us away if He wanted - He gave us life - but that we will glorify His name while we're here. this must remain our focus.
