we just got home from virginia. yes. it took us about 12 hours on the way back :) and 11 on the way there. should be a 9 hour drive. but we stopped in springfield and had supper with steve and his family to celebrate his birthday...and friday night on the way we were some of the first people to come upon a serious motorcycle accident. like, i called 9-1-1 and dave stood outside the car within 10 feet of the guy laying on the road in front of our car. so, that kind of slowed us down on the way. the guy was alive, talking and moving but hurt badly. his bike slid 173 ft down the road right in front of us. we didn't see the collision but saw the bike sliding down the road. it took us a few seconds to figure out what was in the road in front of us. he was taken away by helicopter. and i took a pic of that. i'll post our pics later.

we had a wonderful time with jon & kim and i'll probably blog about it when i post the pics. we had a very relaxing and peaceful time with them.
