update

1. spent a long weekend in ohio...10 year class reunion, 3 family get-togethers, visiting with friends, a festival, etc. to say the least, i was completely worn out by the time we got back home monday evening. guess it has to do with the fact that i was still getting over a cold when we left and i spent what seemed like the entire weekend breastfeeding levi in the scrunched backseat of the car.

2. realized when we got back that i took 1 picture the entire weekend. apparently i'm not very good at multitasking just yet. that pic is above. levi with his only living great-grandparent, my grandpa bill. :)
3. spent yesterday recuperating after the weekend, snuggling with Levi, then allowed myself to have a cup of coffee in the afternoon. that's when the day turned into something even more awesome. first of all, i had energy...and....
4. dave got to leave work at 4 since there was nothing to do. so he came home and started working on our new kitchen counters. he tiled the first of 3 sections last night and it's gorgeous! he finished up around 12:30 last night. right now it's sitting on top of a plastic tub in our great room...
5. Levi was cluster feeding as usual last night and just crying and crying and crying. Eventually, eating didn't even make him happy. So dave urged me to just let him cry for a few minutes. He cried himself to sleep around 10:30! So I stayed up cleaning and making a grocery list while Dave worked on the counter. We finally went to bed at 1. But it was great to have some time to organize stuff without having Levi strapped to my chest or listening to him cry. And I was elated this morning when I awoke at 5:30 and realized he'd slept 7 hours straight! Such a proud mama...
6. And last but not least, we had a frog in our front room last week. See here:

that was especially disturbing as our next door neighbor had recently told me that she has had several frogs in her house this summer. i hope ours was a one time occurence.
